Moon My Idea ("we", "us", "our") is a personal journaling application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data with care.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data needed to provide the service:

• Account information — your email address and display name when you sign up.
• Journal entries — the text, mood, and date of entries you write.
• Usage data — basic analytics such as page views (no personal identifiers attached).
• Authentication tokens — stored securely in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in.

We do not collect payment information, precise location data, or any data from your device beyond what is listed above.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the journaling experience.
• To sync your entries across devices securely.
• To show you your own calendar, timeline, and search history.
• We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your entries are stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled. This means only your authenticated account can read or write your entries — not other users, not our staff.

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Supabase infrastructure is hosted on AWS and is SOC 2 compliant.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
• Vercel — hosting and deployment (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
• Google OAuth — optional sign-in method (policies.google.com/privacy)

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Cookies & Local Storage

We use browser local storage to store your authentication session and app preferences (such as dark mode). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we hold about you.
• Export your journal entries at any time.
• Delete your account and all associated data permanently.
• Correct any inaccurate information.

8. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all entries and personal data are permanently deleted within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Moon My Idea is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
